Grading requirements for 3rd Kyu and above
So you have now made it through to the higher section of the high grades, going for brown belt can seem daunting with lower grades watching to see how good you look and the dan grades watching to see if they feel you will be ready to learn the more advanced variations of karate. The brown belt gradings are tougher than the previous gradings you have done, not only do you have to go through the whole syllabus of techniques but you are now expected to know the japanese terminology and the grading examiner will not be calling in english anymore.
